These providers may process data on our behalf to operate the Service.

  • All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS.
  • Remember Journal offers optional end-to-end encryption (E2EE) for journal entries.

When end-to-end encryption is enabled, journal content is encrypted on your device and cannot be read by our servers. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no system can guarantee absolute security.

5. Cookies and Website Authentication

Our website uses authentication cookies to maintain user login sessions and enable account access. These cookies are necessary for the functionality of the Service and are not used for advertising purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

We use limited third-party services to operate the platform:

Analytics and Session Replay
* PostHog is used to analyze user behavior and record sessions (with sensitive journal content masked) to improve the Service.

Error Monitoring

  • Sentry is used to collect crash reports and error diagnostics to improve service stability.

Email Delivery

  • Resend is used to send transactional emails such as account verification and password reset messages.

These providers only process the data necessary to perform their services.

7. Children's Privacy

Remember Journal is available to users of all ages. If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child in a way that violates applicable law, we will take steps to delete that information. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information may contact us.

8. Data Retention

We retain user data for as long as necessary to provide the Service. If you delete your account, your associated personal data and journal content will be deleted from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required for legal or operational purposes.

9. Account Deletion and Data Control

Users can delete their account by contacting us at hello@category5.co. When an account is deleted, journal entries, photos, mood data, and media tracking data will be removed from our systems in accordance with our data deletion procedures.

Remember Journal is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
